A former University of Oregon football staff member pleaded guilty Wednesday, July 23, to three counts of misdemeanor domestic violence menacing.
Antonio Alex Parks, who worked for two years as an offensive analyst for the Ducks, joined the staff of Louisiana State University in February.
The guilty plea comes after a grand jury in April indicted Parks on two felony counts of strangulation, among other charges.
KEZI first reported the guilty plea. The menacing charges stem from three separate incidents in which Parks caused “fear of imminent serious physical injury by words or conduct,” according to court documents. The menacing took place in Lane County on dates in June 2023, May 2024 and December 2024.
Parks, 29, is free but has been ordered to appear at a sentencing hearing scheduled for Feb. 5 in Lane County Circuit Court. Before that date, Parks must enroll in an evaluation for domestic violence intervention and “comply with any recommended treatment.” A no contact order has also been entered into the court record.
Menacing is a Class A misdemeanor, and a single count carries a maximum sentence of 364 days in jail, but Parks’ guilty plea includes a sentencing recommendation of 36 months of probation and 10 days of jail. Parks would receive credit for six days he spent in jail after his March 1 arrest in Portland.
