Pho King Eugene, a Vietnamese restaurant in the 5th Street Public Market, will mark its first anniversary April 15 with a special celebration, the restaurant announced this week.
Founded by Ha Nguyen, a Vietnamese refugee who has become a prominent local entrepreneur, the restaurant established itself as a destination for authentic Vietnamese cuisine with contemporary influences.

“Opening Pho King Eugene was more than just a business venture — it was a dream come true,” Ha said. “I wanted to share the flavors of my heritage with this wonderful community, and to be able to celebrate one year of success is truly humbling.”
Ha’s path to restaurant ownership began in Da Nang, Vietnam, before she was forced to flee as a refugee in the aftermath of the Vietnam War. Her journey eventually led her to Eugene, where her culinary vision and entrepreneurial drive have flourished.
The restaurant gained popularity for its diverse pho offerings, alongside appetizers and entrees that showcase traditional Vietnamese flavors. The establishment also features a full bar with signature cocktails and a selection of local beers and wines.
Tickets for the celebration, from 5-8 p.m., April 15, are $25 and must be purchased in advance. They include all you can eat food and one free drink, including beer or wine. Tickets can be purchased at pketickets.com.
