The longest regular-season winning streak in the country is no more.
So, too, is Oregon’s run at perfection.
The No. 3 Oregon Ducks fell to No. 7 Indiana 30-20 on Saturday, marking the first time the Ducks have lost a regular-season game in 23 tries. The loss also ended Oregon’s country-long home winning streak at 18 games.
Louis Moore effectively clinched it for the Hoosiers when the safety came down with a batted Dante Moore pass for an interception with Indiana leading 27-20 with 6:07 to play.
The Hoosiers would milk the clock on the ensuing drive, eventually booting a 22-yard field goal for the game’s final score.
Indiana outgained the Ducks 331-261, and in a matchup of two Heisman hopefuls, it was IU’s Fernando Mendoza who ran circles around Moore.

Mendoza finished with 215 yards, one touchdown and 31 rushing yards while leading three separate 75-yard touchdown drives for the Hoosiers. Meanwhile, Moore had his worst game as a Duck, finishing 17-of-28 for 163 yards, a touchdown and a pair of interceptions.
The Ducks shot themselves in the foot repeatedly in this one.
In addition to Moore’s interceptions, the Ducks had a failed fourth-and-short at midfield, missed a field goal, were 3 of 14 on third down and posted season-highs in sacks allowed (six) and penalties (7 for 64 yards).
Following the loss, the Ducks will travel to New Jersey to face Rutgers (3-3, 0-3) for the first time in program history Saturday, Oct. 18.
