Midway through the Oregon men’s basketball team’s first tour through Big Ten Country, Ducks’ center Nate Bittle had some thoughts for the review.

The Ducks had just landed in State College, gotten a quick practice in and made their way back to the team hotel when it struck the 7-foot senior what the place reminded him of.

“It’s been dark all day. We really haven’t been able to see anything. But it kind of feels like Pullman,” Bittle said.

Pullman — with a little bit longer of a flight back home.

Bittle did get a clearer picture of Columbus, however, where the Ducks charged back from a five-point halftime deficit to claim a 73-71 win over Ohio State on Thursday. Bittle scored 21 points with eight rebounds and three blocks in the win, all the while being welcomed to the Schottenstein Center by a chorus of “Bald spot! Bald spot! Bald spot!” from the Ohio State student section.
