The newly naturalized area of Amazon Creek, from 19th Avenue to 24th Avenue, is a gem that has already attracted wild birds.

Along that stretch in just the past week, I’ve spotted common mergansers, mallards, belted kingfishers, killdeer, Western bluebirds, house finches and, of course, American crows.

Kudos to those who had the vision and those who made it a reality!
