This fall, two stars of the Pacific Northwest-set surrealist mystery series “Twin Peaks” will be entering the city of Eugene, 110 miles south of the Washington border, 50 miles east of the Pacific Ocean, for a panel discussion.
The Hult Center announced Wednesday that in October, “Twin Peaks: A Conversation With the Stars” will see actors Ray Wise and Dana Ashbrook onstage in the Hult’s Soreng Theater to talk about their experiences on the ABC network series that aired in 1990 and 1991, as well as their memories of working with director David Lynch, who died in January 2025.
Wise and Ashbrook played two central characters in “Twin Peaks,” which brought viewers into a fictional small timber town in Washington state, as FBI agent Dale Cooper (Kyle MacLachlan) investigated the murder of local teenager Laura Palmer. Wise played her grieving father, Leland Palmer. Ashbrook played local bad boy Bobby Briggs, who was dating Laura at the time of her death.
Both Wise and Ashbrook also appeared as their characters in “Twin Peaks: The Return,” the 18-episode limited event series that aired in 2017 and picked up the “Twin Peaks” story from where it had stopped 26 years before.
Wise and Ashbrook will be joined on stage by panel moderator Josh Eisenstadt and Sabrina S. Sutherland, who worked as production coordinator for the second season of “Twin Peaks” and executive producer on “Twin Peaks: The Missing Pieces” and “Twin Peaks: The Return.”
Sutherland was a longtime producer for Lynch, including as an associate producer on “Inland Empire” and as a production supervisor on “Lost Highway.” She also appears onscreen as casino staff in a memorable stretch of “Twin Peaks: The Return.”
