City Government & University of Oregon Correspondent

Grace graduated with a bachelor’s degree in journalism from The George Washington University in 2025. She served as the metro editor, senior news editor and editor in chief of the university’s independent student newspaper, The GW Hatchet. She interned with CNN and MSNBC, and has freelanced for Real Change, a street paper serving Seattle’s unhoused community.

At Lookout, Grace covers Eugene’s city government and the University of Oregon. She’s especially interested in how tax dollars are being spent and where local politics and higher education intersect. She believes strong local journalism should hold power to account and bring neighbors closer together.

Originally from Seattle, Grace is excited to return to the West Coast and explore the Willamette Valley. If she’s not reporting, she’s probably deep in a card game or perfecting her pesto pasta recipe.
