Restaurant inspections
County officials regularly inspect food facilities to ensure compliance with state laws. Here, Lookout Eugene-Springfield reports both those who have passed the inspections and those where the county observed issues to correct. The county’s full ongoing reports can be accessed here.
- Los Faroles Llc – Mu at 355 S A St., was cited for issues during a county health inspection on August 11. The restaurant scored 90 out of 100. Inspectors found uncovered fresh water and waste water pipes, which need protective caps to prevent contamination. Staff were washing hands incorrectly by washing gloves instead of hands; they were instructed to remove gloves, wash hands properly for 20 seconds, then put on fresh gloves. A damaged seal on a refrigerator door must be repaired to keep it airtight. There was a leak in the waste pipe at the hand wash sink that must be fixed immediately to prevent sewage issues. The restaurant is required to make these corrections promptly. (view report)
