The long-dormant gas station on the southwest corner of 29th Avenue and Willamette Street is tentatively scheduled to open Dec. 14, according to the owners.

The Pacific Roads convenience store and 76 gas station has been closed and fenced off for months, despite the business previously setting an opening date of July 2025. The site was under construction for months before that.

A sign attached to the chain link fence reads “76 is temporarily closed,” and advertises the Pacific Roads convenience store as “coming soon!”

The executive assistant of the owner, Ron Tyree of Tyree Oil Inc., told Lookout Eugene-Springfield that “the intent is to open” on Dec. 14. The assistant did not provide a reason for the prolonged closure.

Pacific Roads operates a second convenience store in Eugene, on Irving Road.
