Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region
- Long-term projects: – Construction is happening near the corners of 18th and Hilyard Street during the week of September 28. Expect some delays and possible lane reductions to a single lane.
- From Monday, September 28 through today, construction is taking place at Columbia Street and East 17th Avenue. Work includes installing new storm drains, wastewater and electrical connections, and surface improvements. This affects parts of East 17th Avenue (from east of Agate Street to Columbia Street and from East 17th Avenue to Moss Avenue), as well as sections of Columbia Street and Columbia Alley. Construction will continue through summer 2027. Vehicle detours are set up at Agate Street, East 17th Avenue, Columbia Street, Moss Street, and East 19th Avenue. Pedestrian routes are also detoured, and bike lanes on Agate Street and Moss Street are closed and combined with traffic lanes. Large trucks and construction equipment are present.
- Construction crews are working on Patterson Street between E 18th Ave and E 24th Ave during the week of September 28 to do minor corrective work. New striping and signs have been installed, and most traffic control is being removed, but some barricades remain. Any work will cause minimal traffic disruptions.
