The 2026-27 Speaker Series for the League of Women Voters of Lane County begins Tuesday, Sept. 22, with Marty Wilde speaking about healthcare in the county.

The free event begins at 11:30 a.m. at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 1685 W. 13th Ave., Eugene. Free parking is available at the venue and on adjacent streets.

Wilde is an attorney, an adjunct law professor at the University of Oregon, a retired Air Force colonel and a former member of the Oregon House of Representatives. He has led healthcare organizations and has published widely on health law and bioethics. He lives in Eugene.

Organizers ask attendees to register for the event at lwvlc.org or by calling the league’s office: 541-343-7917. Registration is not required, but helps organizers know how many people to expect.Â
