Note on today’s report: Some of the incidents listed are not recent. This can happen for a couple of reasons: Delays in agency reporting — sometimes officials don’t file reports right away, or agencies release batches of reports weeks later. Delays in public complaints — people may not notice or decide to contact police until some time after an incident. Please contact the responsible law-enforcement agency or your local elected officials if you have concerns about their delay in releasing information.
Roadwork is affecting traffic near you
- Long-term projects: – Lane County is installing signs and guardrails on Crow Road between mileposts 1.38 and 8.13. Work happens Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. with flaggers controlling traffic. The project started January 28 and is expected to finish by June 30.
– Maxwell Road is closed eastbound at Prairie Road for construction. Crews are improving the intersection and building new sidewalks connecting the River Road and Bethel neighborhoods. The closure extends east on Maxwell Road up to the overpass bridge. Use alternate routes like Beltline to NW Expressway, Beltline to River Road, or Chambers Road to River Road. The project will include new sidewalks and a new railroad crossing when finished.
– There is moderate construction on Grant Street, Hayes Street, Pierce Street, and West 22nd Avenue for paving. Expect some delays or disruptions in these areas.
