Morning Lookout: Teen accordionist draws fans, Schnitzer Museum has new director, massive distribution center planned

Maria Telesheva, 17, has won international accordion competitions since she was a child. Now a teen, who goes to North Eugene High School, she’s gaining fame in the larger music world. Lilly St. Angelo has that sweet story.

Olivia Miller will take the reins at the Jordan Schnitzer Museum of Art Sept. 15. She currently runs the University of Arizona Museum of Art, and once helped restore a stolen painting. Annie Aguiar has the details.

A massive distribution center is planned near the Eugene Airport. Public comment is now open. Michael Zhang reports.
