Olivia is a native of Flint, Michigan, and moved to Oregon in 2021, quickly falling in love with Eugene’s vibrant personality, creative spirit, and strong sense of community.
Her interest in journalism started at her high school news station, leading her to get a communications degree from University of Michigan—Flint. Since mid-2024, she has been the events and communications coordinator for Obie Companies and the 5th Street Public Market, where she led events including Market Fest. She is also secretary of the Downtown Eugene Merchants Board of Directors.
Olivia is passionate about creating meaningful, inclusive experiences that bring folks together in celebration of the everyday. At Lookout Eugene-Springfield, she is looking forward to connecting with local schools through Lookout in the Classroom, nonprofits through Lookout’s Civic Partner Program and connecting Lookout team members with community members through Lookout Listens sessions and events across the area.
When not working, she enjoys supporting Eugene’s arts and live music scene, FaceTiming her two tiny nieces in Michigan and seeking out the best gluten-free delicacies in town.
