Community crime report

  • A report was taken about a runaway juvenile near 3651 W 18th Ave., Eugene at 10 p.m. on May 20.
     
  • A burglary was reported near 1890 Hwy 99n in Eugene at 9 a.m. on May 7.
     
  • Unauthorized use of a vehicle was reported near 4097 N Clarey St., Eugene at 9 a.m. on May 20.
     
  • A hit and run was reported near 4099 W 11th Ave., Eugene at 4 p.m. on May 20.
     
  • A report was taken about an unknown motor vehicle incident near 853 Beltline Wb, Eugene at 9 p.m. on May 19.
     

Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region

  • Long-term projects: – Lane County is installing signs and guardrails on Crow Road between mileposts 1.38 and 8.13. Work occurs Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. and is expected to be completed by June 30. Traffic is controlled by flaggers. – Maxwell Road is closed eastbound at Prairie Road for construction. Crews are improving the intersection and building new sidewalks to connect the River Road and Bethel neighborhoods, with sidewalks extending to Highway 99 at Prairie Road. The project also includes a new railroad crossing. – There is moderate paving work on Grant Street, Hayes Street, Pierce Street, and West 22nd Avenue.
