Community crime report

  • A report was taken about a runaway juvenile near 5223 Sugarpine Cir, Eugene at 10 p.m. on April 25.
     
  • A report of reckless endangering was taken near 1928 Arthur St., Eugene at 2 p.m. on April 26.
     
  • A car crash happened near Green Hill Rd at 3 a.m. on April 26. It is not known if anyone was hurt.
     
  • A person was arrested after a dispute near City View St. and W 11th Ave. in Eugene. The incident happened at 1 a.m. on April 26.
     
  • A person was arrested after a dispute near 4676 Fuller Ave., Eugene at 8 p.m. on April 25.
     

Roadwork is affecting traffic near you

  • Long-term projects: – Lane County is installing signs and guardrails on Crow Road between mileposts 1.38 and 8.13. Flaggers are controlling traffic from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. Work started January 28 and is expected to finish by June 30. – Paving work is happening on Grant Street, Hayes Street, Pierce Street, and West 22nd Avenue, with minimal traffic impacts. – Construction is underway at Maxwell Road and Prairie Road, and east along Maxwell Road to the overpass bridge. Eastbound Maxwell Road is closed at Prairie Road. Drivers should use alternate routes like Beltline to NW Expressway, Beltline to River Road, or Chambers Road to River Road. The project will add new sidewalks and a new railroad crossing.
