Roadwork is affecting traffic in the region

  • Long-term projects: – Construction is happening near the corners of 18th and Hilyard Street this week. Lanes may be reduced to one, so expect some delays. There will be traffic cones and signs to guide you. – Construction is ongoing at University Street and East 23rd Avenue this week for a playground renovation. Streets near the park will stay open, but there may be construction vehicles and workers around. Drivers should be careful near the construction entrance at East 23rd Avenue and Potter Street. Pedestrians should use the sidewalk detour on the north side of East 23rd Avenue. – From Monday through Friday this week, construction at Columbia Street and East 17th Avenue will cause moderate traffic impacts. Parts of East 17th Avenue, Columbia Street, and Columbia Alley will be affected. Vehicle detours will be set up at Agate Street, East 17th Avenue, Columbia Street, Moss Street, and East 19th Avenue. Pedestrian routes will also be detoured, and bike lanes on Agate Street and Moss Street will be closed and combined with traffic lanes. Watch for large trucks and construction equipment in the area.
