Roadwork is affecting traffic near you

  • Long-term projects: – Columbia Street at East 17th Avenue: From Monday, April 20 to Friday, April 24, construction will close parts of Columbia Street, East 17th Avenue (from east of Agate Street to Columbia Street and from East 17th Avenue to Moss Avenue), and Columbia Alley. Vehicle detours will be set up at Agate Street, East 17th Avenue, Columbia Street, Moss Street, and East 19th Avenue. Pedestrian routes will also be changed, and bike lanes on Agate Street and Moss Street will be closed and merged with traffic. Large trucks and equipment will be in the area. – East 24th Avenue, Hilyard Street, and Alder Street: Moderate construction is happening for paving. Expect some delays or disruptions in these areas. – 18th Avenue at Hilyard Street: Construction is underway to replace the signal light system. The new setup will include a bicycle signal for westbound cyclists on 18th Avenue and improved signal timing. Curb extensions and new ADA-compliant ramps will shorten pedestrian crossings. Moderate traffic impact is expected.
