Community crime report

  • A burglary was reported near 746 E 19th Ave., Eugene at 1 p.m. on April 9.
     
  • A burglary was reported near 480 E Broadway in Eugene at 9 a.m. on April 9.
     
  • A traffic hazard was reported and police responded to hold the area. This happened near Alder St. and E 14th Ave. in Eugene at 7 p.m. on April 9.
     
  • A person was cited for disorderly behavior instead of being taken into custody near 1200 High St., Eugene at 10 a.m. on April 9.
     
  • A person was given a citation instead of being taken into custody while assisting Public Works. This happened near Franklin Blvd. and Walnut St. in Eugene at 8 a.m. on April 9.
     

Roadwork is affecting traffic near you

  • Long-term projects: Columbia Street at East 17th Avenue is closed for construction work on stormwater, wastewater, and electrical utilities. Drivers should use Agate Street and Moss Street to reach East 19th Avenue. Pedestrians can walk on the north side of East 17th Avenue, but mid-block access on Columbia Street is closed on both sides. Cyclists should use Agate Street to the west and Moss Street to the east. Paving work is happening on East 24th Avenue, Hilyard Street, and Alder Street, with only minor impacts to traffic.
