Springfield supplemental budget saves fire station from reduced hours

Springfield’s proposed 2026 budget had called for a temporary reduction in staffing during off-peak times at one of the city’s fire stations. But the city recently allocated $125,000 from the general fund contingency reserves to make up for the gap.
