Restaurant inspections

County officials regularly inspect food facilities to ensure compliance with state laws. Here, Lookout Eugene-Springfield reports both those who have passed the inspections and those where the county observed issues to correct. The county’s full ongoing reports can be accessed here.

  • Jackalope Lounge at 453 Willamette St., was cited for issues during a county health inspection on July 30. The restaurant received a score of 95 out of 100. The inspector noted that some potentially hazardous foods, like cut tomatoes, leafy greens, and cooked pasta salad, were being stored at around 50°F instead of the required temperatures of 135°F or above, or 41°F or below. The restaurant was instructed to correct this immediately, and all foods that were not at the proper temperature were discarded. (view report)
