“Jimmy Kimmel Live!” will return to local ABC station KEZI tonight.

This comes after ABC removed the show indefinitely last week after conservatives protested the host’s comments about the reaction to Charlie Kirk’s fatal shooting.

“Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country,” The Walt Disney Company, owner of ABC, said in a statement. “We have spent the last days having thoughtful conversations with Jimmy, and after those conversations, we reached the decision to return the show on Tuesday.”

The cancellation came after threats from Federal Communications Commission chairman Brendan Carr, as well as two major ABC affiliate owners, to punish the company for Kimmel’s statements.

While KEZI, which is owned by Allen Media Broadcasting, has reinstated the show, many other local television stations that are owned by Nexstar and Sinclair have boycotted the show, leaving about a quarter of ABC stations in the U.S. without the program, according to The New York Times.

Lookout Eugene-Springfield reached out to KEZI’s general station manager, who did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
