A Connecticut man charged with coercing sexual images from a Eugene boy and others pleaded guilty to two counts of producing child pornography Wednesday, May 13.

Sean Sayer, 23, faces a mandatory minimum sentence of 15 years on each count. He also pleaded guilty to possessing child pornography. No date has been announced for his sentencing in U.S. District Court in Connecticut.

Investigators have identified 89 separate victims, according to a statement from Connecticut’s U.S. Attorney’s Office, and electronic devices seized from Sayer contained more than 5,000 videos and 1,000 images of child sexual abuse material.

An 8-year-old boy from Eugene texted Sayer on March 20, 2025, to ask if he was behind the TikTok account @fortnight_legends, a name referencing the popular video game Fortnite, prosecutors said.

After telling the boy he was behind the account, Sayer and the boy exchanged more than 1,300 messages. Sayer demanded sexually explicit images and videos in exchange for playing Fortnite online with the boy, prosecutors said. At least 15 videos were sent by the boy to Sayer.

Eugene police and the FBI’s Child Exploitation Task Force investigated, with Sayer arrested June 18, 2025. He was indicted in January on 12 counts of producing child pornography, among other related charges.

While free on pretrial release, Sayer had his bond revoked and has been held in detention since Feb. 17, prosecutors said.
