A motorcyclist sustained life-threatening injuries after a collision with a vehicle Tuesday, April 28, Springfield police said in a statement Wednesday.

Officers responded shortly after 9 p.m. to a crash near South 41st and Main streets. Springfield police said the driver of the vehicle remained on the scene after the crash and is cooperating with investigators.

Police did not release the name of the motorcyclist or driver.

The Springfield Police Major Accident Investigation Team is investigating the crash, and witnesses with information may call Officer Harry Sullivan at 541-726-3714 or hsullivan@springfield-or.gov.
