A Cottage Grove man was sentenced to three years of probation after pleading guilty to online sexual corruption of a child Thursday, April 2.
Frank Dylan Hendricks, 40, solicited a “child to engage in sexual contact or sexually explicit conduct and agreed to physically meet with the child,” according to a charging document.
Hendricks pleaded guilty to second-degree online sexual corruption of a child and a separate charge of luring a minor.
The solicitation took place between February and May of last year, according to court documents.
The Lane County Sheriff’s Office arrested Hendricks after executing a search warrant June 25 in Cottage Grove. The victim was known to Hendricks, Lt. Tim Wallace with the sheriff’s office said Monday.
As part of his probation, Hendricks is to have no contact with the child victim and “have no contact of any kind with minors,” according to sentencing documents.
Hendricks must also complete a treatment program as directed by his probation officer and take part in “random polygraph examinations to obtain information for risk management and treatment” at the direction of his probation officer.
Lane County Circuit Judge Curtis Conover also sentenced Hendricks to 30 days in jail, with credit for time served.
Court records show a charge against Hendricks of using a child in a display of sexually explicit conduct was dismissed.
