Two people sustained serious injuries from a mobile home fire Thursday, April 2, Eugene Springfield Fire officials said.

Fire crews responded after a passerby reported smoke from a home in Woodland Park Estates, 1699 N. Terry St. in Eugene at 10:20 a.m.

Firefighters arrived to find two residents of the home outside the burning structure, according to a news release.

A cat was rescued and no other injuries were reported, fire officials said. The cause of the blaze remains under investigation.
