Police on Friday, April 3, identified Theresa Lynn Fusselman as the person who died Thursday in an early morning motel fire in Cottage Grove.

Fusselman, 66, was found in a room heavily damaged by fire at the Relax Inn. She was a Cottage Grove resident, the city’s police department said.

The blaze at 1030 N. Highway 99 injured three others, police said Thursday. South Lane County Fire and Rescue responded to the fire and Friday referred questions about the fire’s cause to Cottage Grove police.
