A stop of a reportedly stolen vehicle on Wednesday, March 18, led police to briefly warn traffic away from an overpass connecting Chambers Street to River Road in Eugene.

A man suspected of stealing a Toyota Tacoma at knifepoint was arrested at 12:12 p.m., within 15 minutes of the work truck being reported stolen, police said.

“The truck had live tracking and officers located and forcibly stopped it on the Chambers Connector,” Eugene police said in a news release.

The name of the man arrested was not immediately available.
