Police said they arrested a 39-year-old man after a stabbing at a south Eugene vape shop on Thursday, Jan. 8.
Brett Cody Allen was booked into Lane County Jail on suspicion of second-degree assault and unlawfully using a weapon.
Police responded at 8:25 p.m. to Nephos Vape Shop, in the 1300 block of Hilyard Street.
In a news release, police said their investigation found the 32-year-old stabbing victim had been in the shop with a barking dog. He and Allen argued over the animal’s barking before the stabbing, police said.
The victim was taken to a hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, police said. Officers found Allen at 13th Avenue and Alder Street, where he was taken into custody.
