A 66-year-old Eugene man has been arrested on suspicion of placing a hidden camera in a park bathroom near Crawfordsville, roughly 30 miles northeast of Eugene, the Linn County Sheriff’s Office said Wednesday, Sept. 10.

Timothy Lawrence O’Brien has been booked into the Linn County Jail on suspicion of invading personal privacy.

Deputies July 23 began investigating a report of a bathroom camera in McKercher Park, located on Highway 228.

Their investigation led them to obtain a warrant to search O’Brien’s home on Monday, Sept. 8, where they found evidence related to the case, the sheriff’s office said

In a news release, the sheriff’s office cited unspecified “additional evidence” that O’Brien may have placed hidden cameras elsewhere, and that they are working with Eugene police to identify any other camera locations and possible victims.

Anyone with information about O’Brien may call Sgt. Steven Frambes at 541-967-3950.
