Several tree trunks along with other debris have blocked portions of the upper McKenzie River near Fish Rock, creating two large obstructions, the Lane County Sheriff’s Office said Thursday, April 2.

The McKenzie Highway, also known as Oregon Highway 126, runs alongside the river, and the obstructions are at milepost 55, the sheriff’s office said Thursday evening. The precise blockage coordinates are 44.18771, -122.06962.

The sheriff’s office asked those on the river to avoid or navigate with “extreme caution” one of the obstructions at the center near a fork of the river.

The National Weather Service on Friday said temperatures were expected in the 70s Saturday and Sunday in Eugene.
