The incoming Oregon 5-star freshman was recently named SBLive’s Washington Athlete of the Year. Andy Buhler from SBLive breaks it down on this week’s episode.

The biggest win of the Dan Lanning era so far came earlier this spring when Rainier Beach offensive lineman Josh Conerly Jr., a top tackle in the 2022 class, picked Oregon over USC, Miami, Michigan and Oklahoma. The 6-foot-5, 283-pound, 5-star from Seattle projects as a future first-round pick in the NFL, but it was the heart he showed on the basketball court that helped earned him the title of SBLive’s Washington 3A Senior Athlete of the Year.

Andy Buhler from SBLive joins us today on this subscriber-exclusive I-5 Corridor podcast to tell us why Conerly won the award, how he’ll fit in at Oregon and what sort of presence the Ducks have north of the border here in the Lanning era.
