I completely agree with Alice Parman’s suggestion in her letter to the editor in Lookout arguing that the levying of a sales tax in Oregon would solve many of our funding problems.

It should also be noted that visitors to Oregon, in addition to paying a lodging tax, would then be contributing to the maintenance of our schools and infrastructure.
