There are four more chances to see the Very Little Theatre’s presentation of “Firebringer,” which continues through April 20.

Set in the Stone Age, “Firebringer” follows Jemilla, the tribe’s leader, and Zazzalil, a rebellious innovator. The musical explores the balance between safety and progress as the tribe navigates its primitive world and worships a duck.

It is directed by Adrienne West.

Team StarKid Productions originally wrote and produced “Firebringer,” which was funded through Kickstarter and first performed in Chicago in 2016. The musical has gained a cult following, with more than 5.3 million views on YouTube, and has been produced in colleges and community theaters across the country.
