A 63-year-old Eugene man died when a car struck the all-terrain vehicle he was riding on southeast of Veneta, the Lane County Sheriff’s Office said.

Scott Alan Kayser was attempting to cross the 26300 block of Crow Road at about 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 1, according to the sheriff’s office. 

Investigators say a 2010 Subaru Impreza struck the ATV. Kayser died at the scene. The driver of the Subaru stayed at the scene and cooperated with investigators, according to the sheriff’s office.
