Property development

  • On April 2, city officials formally approved a zoning application for a project at 1200 Alder St. The approved plans include requests for adjustments to building articulation requirements, as well as modifications to standards for bicycle parking. These changes pertain to the number of required bicycle parking spaces, their location on the property, and the security measures for those spaces. (view application)

  • A theft happened near 1877 Emerald St., Eugene at 9 p.m. on April 2. The person involved was given a citation instead of being taken into custody.
     
  • A person was arrested for criminal trespass near 1365 Ferry St., Eugene at midnight on April 2.
     
  • A report of property damage was taken near 480 E Broadway in Eugene at 3 p.m. on April 2.
     
  • A license plate was reported stolen near 771 E 14th Ave., Eugene at 8 a.m. on April 2.
     
  • A report was taken about a disorderly person near 1728 Ferry St., Eugene at 5 p.m. on April 2.
     

Roadwork is affecting traffic near you

  • Long-term projects: Columbia Street at East 17th Avenue is closed today for construction work on stormwater, wastewater, and electrical utilities. Drivers should use Agate Street and Moss Street to get to East 19th Avenue. Pedestrians can walk on the north side of East 17th Avenue, but mid-block access on Columbia Street is closed on both sides. Cyclists should use Agate Street to the west and Moss Street to the east. Paving work is happening on East 24th Avenue, Hilyard Street, and Alder Street, but traffic impact is expected to be low.
