Property development

  • On January 27, city officials formally approved a zoning application for the vacant lots at West 11th Ave. and Greenhill Rd. The approved project changes the zoning of these lots from Neighborhood Commercial (C-1) with a Commercial Airport Safety Overlay to Community Commercial (C-2) with the same overlay. Community crime report

  • A vehicle hit a pedestrian and a report was taken near 1322 Oak Patch Rd, Eugene at 2 p.m. on February 3.
     
  • A car crash with injuries happened near Beltline and Roosevelt Blvd. in Eugene at 3 p.m. on February 3. The driver was given a citation instead of being taken into custody.
     
  • A burglary was reported near 1890 Friendly St., Eugene at 7 a.m. on February 3.
     
  • A burglary was reported near 1815 W 11th Ave., Eugene at 2 a.m. on February 3.
     
  • A person was arrested for stolen property near 3570 W 11th Ave., Eugene at 11 a.m. on February 3.
     

Roadwork is affecting traffic near you

  • Long-term projects: Construction is happening on Crow Road in Lane County between mileposts 1.38 and 8.13. Lane County is installing signs and guardrails, with flaggers controlling traffic from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Friday. Work started January 28 and is expected to finish by June 30.
