Sean Joseph Lynn, a 32-year-old man arrested in 2024 after a fatal shooting north of Coburg, pleaded guilty to second-degree manslaughter Monday, Jan. 26.
Court records show a Lane County grand jury indicted Lynn on a second-degree murder charge in connection with the death of a Harrisburg man, 49-year-old Derrick Adam McKee.
Documents filed in the case state that McKee was the intimate partner of Lynn’s mother. The couple shared their home with Lynn for about six months leading up to the shooting, according to court documents.
Lynn’s guilty plea to a reduced charge follows negotiations with the Lane County District Attorney’s office, court records state.
The Lane County Sheriff’s Office arrested Lynn the same day deputies responded to a shooting on the 33000 block of Coleman Road.
Lynn is being held at the Lane County Jail. A sentencing hearing has been set for March 11.
