Community members can begin purchasing 1Passes this Friday, May 8, which allow kids to access summer activities throughout Eugene and Springfield.
For a one-time cost of $60, 1Pass holders can visit 17 destinations, including pools, a mini-golf course, a trampoline park, museums and more. Cardholders scan their card each time they visit a destination. All destinations are located along Lane Transit District bus routes for easy access.
Holders of a 1Pass also will have free admission to all Springfield Drifters home baseball games and can purchase $5 standard seats for Eugene Emeralds games.
The cards are valid June 15 through Sept. 7, and are available for kids 18 and younger.
They will go on sale at 8 a.m. Friday through Willamalane or Eugene Recreation. Each organization has 5,500 passes for sale, and the program has sold out each season since 2021, according to Willamalane, which created the 1Pass in 2012.
The 1Pass program is jointly run by Willamalane Park and Recreation District and Eugene Recreation.
Springfield Public Schools purchased 2,000 passes for students this year using grant funds, and families selected through a lottery were notified by the district, according to Willamalane.
